BREWMARK: advertising and branding
The BrewMark project was developed as part of my university coursework to address the challenges facing the UK craft beer industry. Inspired by the sharp decline in local breweries, the project creates a certification mark that celebrates authenticity, sustainability, and local craftsmanship. BrewMark bridges the gap between breweries and consumers, fostering community and support for British brewing heritage.
As a university-led initiative, this project allowed me to explore branding, motion design, and UX/UI development in-depth. I directed every aspect, from conceptual ideation to the final deliverables, showcasing my ability to create meaningful and engaging design solutions.
Main Campaign Video project development
The core outcome of the project is an engaging video that narrates the journey of a BrewMark-certified beer from farm to pint. Combining dynamic visuals with emotional storytelling, the short form video highlights the sustainable practices, care and craftsmanship behind local breweries.
Storyboarding was essential in shaping the video’s pacing and narrative, allowing me to highlight key moments like the brewing process, local ingredient sourcing and the human connection behind each pint. To develop the video, I experimented with timing, transitions, and text synchronisation ensuring the visuals resonated with the target audience and focused on storytelling. Using a combination of stock and 3D Designed and animated footage, I created a dynamic and engaging final video that embodies the craftsmanship, sustainability and community spirit BrewMark stands for.
ux/UI APp Integration development
The BrewMark campaign included a user-friendly app designed to connect users with BrewMark-certified breweries and encourage engagement through gamification. Created in Figma, the app features a brewery locator and a digital stamp collection system, rewarding users for visits and purchases with exclusive perks. The clean, modern design prioritises usability and reflects BrewMark’s branding, ensuring broad appeal. Feedback shaped the final interface, creating an intuitive and engaging tool that fosters loyalty and supports independent breweries.
3d designed assets
Using Blender, I designed a variety of 3D assets to bring the BrewMark project to life. These ranged from realistic mock-ups of event branding, high res renders of product mockups and short animated sections for campaign videos to showcase the BrewMark certification in context. The mock-ups allowed me to present the brand in real-world scenarios, emphasising its practicality and appeal, while the animated assets added depth and personalisation to the storytelling. This integration of static and motion-based 3D design not only enhanced the visual impact of the campaign but also demonstrated my ability to adapt 3D tools for animation as well as branding and marketing purposes.
PITCh DOCUMENT
The BrewMark pitch document outlined the campaign’s mission to support the UK craft beer industry through a certification celebrating sustainability and authenticity. It presented a cohesive vision centred on a short-form video narrating the journey of a BrewMark-certified beer, supported by social media content, pop-up events, and a gamified app to connect with audiences. Visual mock-ups, including event branding and app interfaces, brought the campaign to life, showcasing its potential to foster loyalty and drive change. This process combined research, strategy, and creative execution, delivering a comprehensive and impactful proposal.
