#ThinkLIFENOTKNIFE: anti knife crime Competition winner and magazine cover
With knife crime being a significant issue in the UK, this project aimed to raise awareness and inspire action by leveraging the power of design to spark meaningful conversations. The visuals are bold, impactful, and carefully crafted to resonate with a diverse audience, encouraging reflection and change.
This project was created as part of Loughborough University’s Anti-Knife Crime Competition. In response to the tragic 2023 Nottingham attacks, the competition challenged students to address the issue of knife crime through impactful campaigns. This entry earned second place and has recently published in and as the front cover design for Fighting Knife Crime London magazine.

"Niall’s work was very thoughtful and explores various touchpoints to take the campaign further. The branding and cohesiveness of the project was very appropriate for his intended target market."

3D Design for Campaign Posters

The campaign posters for “Think Life Not Knife” were designed and rendered entirely in Blender, showcasing my skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and creating realistic scenes. By combining these assets with the Adobe Creative Suite, I developed compelling visuals that enhanced the campaign's impact. This project highlights my ability to use 3D design to create meaningful and visually striking narratives.
Collaborating with fighting knife crime london magazine

As part of my involvement in Loughborough University's Anti-Knife Crime Competition, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to connect with Bruce Houlder, editor of Fighting Knife Crime London magazine. Following a referral from Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Bruce reviewed my project and expressed great interest in featuring it in the magazine's January issue, dedicated to showcasing young people’s work This collaboration not only amplifies the message of my campaign but also underscores the power of creative work in addressing real-world challenges. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a significant publication and for the chance to use design as a catalyst for meaningful change.
