PAPERWISE: Motion Design Project
With plastic pollution and deforestation posing serious threats to the environment, this project leverages the power of design and animation to promote PaperWise, a sustainable packaging solution made from unused agricultural waste. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of traditional single use materials and inspire change by positioning PaperWise as a practical and innovative alternative.
In this project i used motion design to spotlight the environmental crisis and the responsibility of corporations in driving it. Through engaging visuals and impactful storytelling, the campaign showcases PaperWise as a sustainable alternative, inspiring viewers to take action. By encouraging individuals and businesses to pressure industries toward change, the campaign aims to foster collective accountability and protect the future of our planet.
ART direction
I directed every aspect of this campaign, from the art direction and scriptwriting to the final animation. The project was highly ideated, with the animation’s direction evolving as I experimented with new ideas and techniques in various software tools. This process allowed me to refine the narrative, visuals, and overall impact, showcasing my ability to blend creative exploration with purposeful storytelling.
3d designed assets
This project marked a significant step in integrating 3D elements into my animation work, showcasing my attention to detail and ability to create realistic assets. Using Blender, I crafted a paper-mâché Earth and a PaperWise cup, meticulously textured to reflect real-world materials. These elements enhanced key moments in the animation, adding depth and authenticity while seamlessly aligning with the ripped paper aesthetic and overall narrative.
PITCh DOCUMENT
The pitch document focused on the campaign’s evolution, presenting a clear vision for the animation, its goals and the expected outcomes. This document allowed me to articulate the creative direction and demonstrate how the project addressed key sustainability challenges. This project was a deep exploration of ideation, storytelling and motion design. From initial concepts to final animation, the direction evolved through constant experimentation and refinement, pushing me to expand my skills in both 2D and 3D motion design. It reinforced my belief in the power of iterative creativity to craft meaningful narratives that inspire action through stories.
